The Brief

A £100 cash prize is on offer for the most original business idea that would not have been right for the pre-Covid era but whose time has come.

Idea must be unique

It must be original. It can be based on existing businesses but with a post lockdown pivot.

Idea must be able to be made into a sustainable new business venture

There needs to be a way of making money so that it's not a one-off project but a sustainable venture which creates employment for one or more people.

Idea can be bootstrapped i.e. doesn't need heavy investment

We are not looking for ideas that need investment. Rather a bootstrapped approach with minimum capital outlay.

Idea must be a pivot from an existing business that is more suited to this post Covid-19 era

This is the novel criteria of this competition. We are looking for ideas whose time has come for the new post lockdown era.
